Everyone can understand health insurance and savings plans better.
We All Need Great Resources
All employee benefit professionals want to be a credible source of knowledge to workers and colleagues, in and outside their organization. Unfortunately, new employee benefit professionals receive very little training or education to perform at the highest level. It is not unusual for HR department heads to "give" the benefits function to whoever is willing to take it on. That is no way to become a benefits pro. You may pick up a lot of knowledge over the years, but it will take you longer, and you'll make many mistakes you may never correct.
Benefit pros should:
- Learn the basics and not so basics
- Learn them well
- Simplify employee benefits communication by using stories, analogies, and facts so that anyone can understand it
